The picture that sealed the deal…

This is the picture that we fell in love with even before we could meet Daytona. We had been looking to adopt a rescue for a few months and nothing came together just right until I found Daytona on the KW Humaine website. I quickly called Jamie to let him know I had sent him an email he had to look at. “What do you think of him?”…and then I called and emailed the application in right away.

It was Thursday. We where approved and then they held him for us till Saturday when we could head to Kitchener to meet him in person. We took him to meet my Dad and step mom Tina who lived in Cambridge where Daytona proceeded to put the run on Brandy… lol Brandy being a big retriever! But by the time they met again they became good friends… well more Daytona was the little annoying cousin that drove Brandy crazy but what can you do?! lol

Daytona Tuesday

Daytona is now just hitting his 4th birthday late this month. During that first year as he was growing and changing so much I would often take a few pictures of him before I’d pack up my studio for the day.

Daytona Tuesday

Many of my current clients all seem to be dog lovers. I always get a kick out of a family saying just before we’re about to wrap up there session… “we have the dog in the car do you think we could get a few with him/her?” and my answer is always of course!

My husband Jamie and I LOVE Daytona to bits. We rescued him from the KW Humaine Society 4 years ago this March. He’s cute as all get out and as any dog owner knows it’s probably the reason he’s still alive considering the damage he’s caused in that time. lol You see he has some separation issues and at the time both of us working outside the home all day he took those frustrations out on a few thing… but I’ll leave those stories for another day.

So to keep the images flowing and of course because he’s beyond cute I’ll be sharing a pictures of Daytona past and present every Tuesday on the blog.

Time for a w-a-l-k

And yes he has boots on.. with all the salt that’s already been put down we wouldn’t get very far without something on his paws. Doesn’t he look excited?! lol
